Access Your Grant Award
All Office of Naval Research (ONR) award/modification documents are available via the Department of Defense (DoD) Electronic Document Access System (EDA). ONR grant documents can also be accessed via the ONR AwardWeb grant document distribution system.
ONR AwardWeb
Access methods for AwardWeb will depend on whether your organization has purchased public key infrastructure, or PKI, certificates for your users.
Non-PKI Access:
Awardees can view and download specific award documents without a PKI. When an award is posted to ONR AwardWeb, an e-mail notification will be sent to a point of contact (POC) email address with an embedded web site where the grant can be downloaded in PDF format using the tracking number contained in the e-mail.
To change or update the e-mail point of contact stored in ONR AwardWeb for your organization, please send an e-mail to 02_AWAuthor@onr.navy.mil with the following information:
- Organization name:
- POC e-mail
- POC name
- POC postal Address:
Note: Many universities have a group e-mail box set up so multiple users can receive the email notification for the download/distribution of the award document.
Full System Access (PKI Required):
Full access to the AwardWeb system (https://services2.onr.navy.mil) requires a PKI certificate. This allows awardees to view a list of all of their ONR awards (current and archived) and download PDF copies at any time.
On Sept. 26, 2006, the Naval Network Warfare Command (NETWARCOM) directed that all Naval web servers hosting applications accessed by external users must implement Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) electronic authentication of users.
PKI certificates can be purchased from an approved source and usually cost between $99 and $115 per year for each user. The approved sources of these certificates are ORC and VeriSign, Inc. For questions or technical assistance with implementing PKI, please contact the Navy PKI Help Desk: (800) 304-4636.
