Arlington, Va. – In-water demonstrations of over 30 unmanned vehicle systems and related technologies will highlight this year’s AUV Fest 2005 at the Naval Undersea Museum in Keyport, Washington. The AUV Fest will be held in conjunction with the Unmanned Maritime Vehicle Test & Evaluation (UMV T&E) Conference, June 14-16. It will include plenary and technical presentation sessions, technology displays, and real-time, remote viewing of AUV Fest unmanned vehicle demonstrations. AUV Fest 2005 is sponsored by the Office of Naval Research (ONR), the Naval Meteorology and Oceanography Command (NMOC), and the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC). More information and registration forms for the conference and AUV Fest 2005 can be found on the National Defense Industry Association web site. Press Members: You are invited to attend demonstrations on June 16 at no cost, just fill out a registration form and send it to NDIA along with a copy of your press pass. If you don’t have a press pass, contact a NDIA meeting coordinator listed on their website.
