The Office of Naval Research’s (ONR) biennial 2017 Naval Future Force Science and Technology (S&T) Expo is the premier S&T event for the Navy and Marine Corps. It draws several thousand attendees.
Participants will hear from technical experts and senior naval leaders, including the new Chief of Naval Research Rear Adm. David Hahn. Hahn will discuss his strategic vision: "Naval Research and Development: A Framework for Accelerating to the Navy and Marine Corps After Next."
The Expo will also showcase some of the Navy’s and Marine Corp’s latest technologies and bring together the brightest minds from around the world to share information; discuss research opportunities; and build partnerships between the Navy, Marine Corps, industry and academia.
In addition to the technology Expo, complementary topics will run concurrently on: doing research with ONR; small business opportunities; working with the Naval Research Laboratory; and international research collaboration with ONR Global.
As in previous years, there will be one-on-one appointments, information kiosks with program officers, breakout and poster sessions, exhibits and seminars designed to help participants learn about ONR’s mission and how to support it.
Come learn more about the many career opportunities in naval research at the EXPO. Diverse opportunities range from laboratory scientists, to design engineers, to program officers who direct research investments; unique skills are needed in the business of research to include contracting, grants, human resourcing, IT, and financial management; locations span the country from coast to coast, and include unique international assignments.
The Expo will be co-sponsored by the American Society of Naval Engineers—the leading society for engineers, scientists and other professionals who design, develop, test and maintain naval and maritime ships, submarines and aircraft, and their associated systems and subsystems.
