Armored Reconnaissance Vehicle (ARV) S&T Brief to Industry
The Office of Naval Research (ONR) conducted an industry day on Tuesday, January 9, 2018, to provide industry with a better understanding of the scope of the Armored Reconnaissance Vehicle (ARV) Advanced Technology Development Future Naval Capability (FNC) program and the objectives of the ARV funding opportunity.
ONR is interested in receiving white papers, then proposals, addressing the research, development, and integration of revolutionary technologies to inform the realm of the possible related to a notional next generation armored reconnaissance platform (the ARV). It is desired that a future ARV will be capable of fighting for information in an increasingly complex and contested environment and able to counter threats with greater reach and lethality. This Science and Technology (S&T) effort is a Future Naval Capability (FNC) program that will run from FY18 to mid-FY21.
Please note that, due to the overwhelming response, we require additional time to evaluate the ARV white papers.
We hope to notify you by 19 March of the results and our desire for a full proposal. Because of this delay, we will also shift the due date for full proposals to 25 April.
Thank you again for your submittals and for your patience as we finish the review.
If you did not submit a white paper, you are still eligible to submit a full proposal to Research Area 2 or to any of the ten Technology Focus Areas under Research Area 1, also by 25 April. As always, traditional and non-traditional organizations from industry and academia are encouraged to participate.
