ONR Released New Broad Agency Announcement for Science and Technology

ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA - October 08, 2008 – The Office of Naval Research (ONR) has announced that it has released a Long Range Broad Agency Announcement (BAA), effective September 23, 2008. The BAA is aimed at attracting Science and Technology (S&T) proposals that support the advancement and improvement of Navy and Marine Corps operations. Innovative S&T funded under the BAA includes basic research, applied research and some advanced technology development.

This year’s BAA includes an important change regarding the submission of grant proposals. All grants received by ONR are to be submitted via the Grants.Gov “APPLY” function. Other forms of hardcopy and electronic submission will not be accepted unless a waiver is granted.

The published announcement is available under the "Contracts & Grants" section on ONR’s Website (http://www.onr.navy.mil/02/baa/), as well as on the grants.gov (www.grants.gov) and FedBizOpps.gov (www.fbo.gov) web sites. The Long Range BAA is open for one year through September 30, 2009 or until it is replaced with a new Long Range BAA.
