The Navy Manufacturing Technology Program (ManTech) is executed under the Department of War (DOW) ManTech Program and is the Navy’s investment mechanism for staying at the forefront of defense-essential manufacturing capability. The Program develops technologies and processes for the affordable and timely production and sustainment of more capable defense systems. The Program impacts all phases of acquisition. It aids in achieving reduced acquisition and total ownership costs, enhanced throughput, and expanded capability by developing, maturing, and transitioning key manufacturing technologies. ONR will focus investments on those that have the most benefit to the warfighter and industrial base.
This announcement is issued on behalf of the Navy Manufacturing Technology (ManTech) Program. The focus of this research and development opportunity is on targeted manufacturing improvements to directly impact speed, throughput, and industrial base resiliency. This is vital for developing the next generation of manufacturing capabilities that will enable the ability to build faster, arm faster, and repair faster. We seek innovations that will fundamentally improve the efficiency of our shipyards, maintenance depots, and supply chain partners. Offerors must clearly articulate how their proposed research will dismantle existing barriers and contribute to a more robust and responsive industrial ecosystem, improving the resilience and competitiveness of the Nation’s shipbuilding enterprise.
Please see full text of the announcement for all details related to this opportunity, to include submission requirements and white paper and proposal deadline information.
