The NavalX program focuses on powering the rapid development and deployment of relevant technologies that solve Fleet-defined problems all within 0-5 years. This is performed by capitalizing on contracting methods, partnerships, research models and events to support Naval transformation in practical ways.
Specific research involves:
- Problem sourcing and framing
- Market scouting and scanning
- Industry engagement and enablement
- Technical exploration and validation
Research Concentration Areas
Problem sourcing and framing—focuses on Naval Leaders and end users to understand their specific needs and frame how commercial and non-traditional tech can help.
Market scouting and scanning—focuses on scanning across industries for nontraditional solutions and dual-use technology that can address Naval challenges.
Industry engagement and enablement—focuses on helping industry problem solvers understand how they can help and connect them to resources and capital to develop their solutions.
