Oceanographer Dr. Robert Ballard has received a grant from the Office of Naval Research (ONR) to employ his tele-presence technology comprising advanced robotics and high-bandwidth ship-to-shore communications in support of ocean exploration and STEM education.

The International Cooperative Engagement Program for Polar Research (ICE-PPR) International Workshop for Sea Ice and Icebergs was held recently at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland.
